Boys’ basketball: Westchester up by 10 at halftime

Westchester guard Kareem Jamar started heating up in the second quarter, hitting a trio of three-point baskets to help the top-ranked Comets take a 32-22 halftime lead over second-ranked Taft in the championship game of the Westchester tournament.

Jamar has 14 points, including four three-pointers, and Denzel Douglas has seven for Westchester.

Big man DeAndre Daniels has seven points for Taft, which took an early five-point lead but was outhustled for most of the second quarter.
