Football: National Guard to honor Gardena Serra

Gardena Serra will be honored Friday afternoon by the Army National Guard during a school-wide assembly as part of the MaxPreps Tour of Champions.

The Cavaliers, coming off an undefeated season capped by victories over previously unbeaten Oaks Christian and Northern California power Kentfield Marin Caholic, were one of 50 teams nationwide selected for the honors.

Representatives from the National Guard will present the football team with a trophy in recognition of its outstanding season.
