Girls’ basketball: Hillcrest Christian still ahead

Hillcrest Christian leads 20-13 with 2:23 remaining in the second quarter against favored St. Bernard.

The third-seeded Eagles have controlled the game from the opening tip. St. Bernard’s vaunted inside game is being neutralized and the Vikings are settling for too many outside shots.

There is still plenty of time left for the Vikings but so far they look out of sync. Hillcrest Christian is using all of the shot clock to get high percentage baskets.
