Girls’ basketball: St. Anthony 26, Montclair Prep 15 at halftime

Top-seeded St. Anthony has a 26-15 halftime lead over second-seeded Montclair Prep tonight in the Southern Section Division 5A championship at Santa Ana Mater Dei High.

St. Anthony’s height is overpowering Montclair Prep, and the Saints are racking up offensive rebounds and getting multiple shot attempts on every possession.

Junior guard Kimberly Scamman’s penetration and senior guard Chantel Dooley’sjumpers have kept Montclair Prep in the game. They have scored all but one of the Mounties’ buckets; Scamman has seven points and Dooley has six.

Sophomore guard Raquel Johnson has scored nine points and freshman center Kendall Cooper has six for St. Anthony.
