OK, this has to be the year of Verdugo Hills. The Dons won their first league title since 1959, and on Saturday, they trailed El Camino Real, 40-23, at halftime of the City Section Division III final at Roybal.

They trailed, 48-33, going into the fourth quarter. So what happens? Verdugo Hills wins going away, 60-52. Chris Dees had 20 points for the Dons (24-7), who now get to play in the state playoffs.
