Long Beach Poly appears to have an advantage in the paint with its superior size, but scrappy Etiwanda trails only 30-29 at halftime in a Southern California regional Division I game at Etiwanda.

Every time the Jackrabbits start to get a little separation, the Eagles come roaring back. Etiwanda is known for its defense, but Poly is also playing some on Eagles star Byron Wesley, who has only four points.

Freshman forward Roschon Prince has been a beast inside for the Jackrabbits, scoring 14 points. His three-point play on a basket inside and ensuing free throw gave Poly a 24-19 lead, the biggest of the first half.

Tyler LaCour has eight points and Aaron Crockett six for Etiwanda.

Poly was also engaged in a tight game in the first round against Crenshaw before taking control with a big third-quarter push, so it will be interesting to see if the Jackrabbits can duplicate that feat tonight. The winner of this game will play the winner of the quarterfinal between Santa Monica and second-seeded Westchester.
