Boys’ basketball: Taft 32, Leuzinger 29

Taft has a 32-29 halftime lead over Leuzinger in a Division I quarterfinal game at Taft.

Taft opened a 28-17 lead midway through the second quarter after consecutive three-pointers by De’Andre Daniels and Pierce Williams.

But Leuzinger went on a 12-2 run behind Roy Gordon, who made consecutive three-pointers in the quarter. Daniels has 12 points.

Westchester leads Santa Monica, 38-29, at halftime.
