Harvard-Westlake fencer has his passport ready

Michael Raynis, a senior at North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, leaves next month to compete for the U.S. team at the Junior and Cadet World Championships for fencing in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Raynis will compete for the men’s epee team in juniors. He’s headed to Harvard University this fall.

Also on the U.S. team is Eric Fass, who graduated from Harvard-Westlake last year and will also attend Harvard University in the fall. He’ll be competing in men’s sabre.

The competition takes place April 2-10.
