Boys’ basketball: Polee sparks Westchester comeback

After missing the final four minutes of the second quarter with three fouls, Dwayne Polee has sparked a Westchester comeback in the third quarter. Down by as many as eight points to Long Beach Poly, the Comets have a 43-40 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Polee had eight points in the quarter and leads everybody with 17 points. A Kareem Jamar three-pointer with 1:35 left gave Westchester a 28-26 lead. Jamar had two three-pointers in the quarter.

Westchester has picked up its defensive intensity, and three missed free throws by Roschon Prince didn’t help the Jackrabbits.
