San Diego Lincoln scored 27 points in the third quarter after scoring only 22 in the first half, taking a commanding 49-38 lead over Compton in the Southern California Division II regional championship at the Galen Center.

The Hornets came out with a full-court press, speeding up the game to their liking. Compton was flustered at times and committed a flurry of turnovers. The Tarbabes have also struggled to make free throws.
