Baseball: Bolsa Grande’s season is saved

Bolsa Grande is still seeking its first victory after three losses to open the season, but the Matadors are grateful just to be playing after thieves stole all their baseball equipment from two storage sheds earlier this month.

The program has been flooded with donations in the last few weeks, though, saving a season that had been put on hold while players and coaches looked for replacement gear. Among those who stepped up to help was JSerra Coach Brett Kay, who donated equipment.

Bolsa Grande (0-3) plays Garden Grove Santiago on Friday afternoon.
