Boys’ basketball: Azzam is national coach of the year

Westchester Coach Ed Azzam is getting some nationwide publicity right now. All you have to do is click on the main page of MaxPreps.com and you’ll see a photo collage of the longtime coach gesturing his Comets on to victory.

Azzam has been selected MaxPreps’ national coach of the year after guiding Westchester to a second consecutive state Division I title. It was Azzam’s sixth state title.
