Baseball: Crespi-El Dorado go into the ninth

Freshman pitcher Chris Rivera of El Dorado keeps coming up with big pitches and getting big plays from his teammates. Crespi and El Dorado are tied, 1-1, going into the top of the ninth inning of the championship game of the National Classic.

In the eighth, Michael Hubbard got a two-out single for Crespi, but he was thrown out trying to get to second after a pickoff throw went into the dirt.

Rivera has pitched 2 2/3 innings of shutout relief.
