Football: QB Max Wittik makes ‘Super 7’

Santa Ana Mater Dei quarterback Max Wittek has been selected for the ‘Steve Clarkson Super 7’ retreat July 1-5 in Maui.

Clarkson, a private quarterback coach, held a 13-city national tour trying to identify the top high school quarterbacks.

Also selected for the gathering were Kyle Boehm from San Jose Archbishop Mitty; Jerrard Randle from Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna Prep; Brett Hundley from Chandler (Ariz.); Bennie Coney from Plant City (Fla.); Jeff Lindquist from Mercer Island (Wash.) and Jacoby Brissett from West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer.

Wittek has committed to USC and Boehm is a California commitment.
