Football: Malcolm Jones is up for top award

Running back Malcolm Jones, the former Westlake Village Oaks Christian standout who’s a freshman at UCLA, will be at the JW Marriott at LA Live on Wednesday as one of the candidates for the Gatorade Athlete of the Year.

The boys’ and girls’ Athletes of the Year will be announced. The athletes had to win their respective sport’s national player of the year awards to be eligible.
