Football: LB Poly leads Lakewood, 14-7

It’s halftime, and Long Beach Poly has a 14-7 lead over Lakewood. The Jackrabbits have been conservative, disciplined and good.
Except for a fumbled punt, they’ve been the better team, which is a surprise since Lakewood came in ranked No. 5 by The Times with a 5-0 record.
