Football: Blackwell leads Mater Dei victory

Victor Blackwell caught six passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns in Mater Dei’s 31-20 victory over St. John Bosco.

St. John Bosco rallied from a 17-6 halftime deficit to take a 20-17 lead, but quarterback Max Wittek rallied the Monarchs with tough running and clutch passes.

Martin Brown rushed for 147 yards and scored two touchdowns for St. John Bosco.

‘Too much Blackwell,’ St. John Bosco Coach Jason Negro said.
