Los Angeles Fairfax guard Brendyn Taylor won’t be eligible for the City Section playoffs unless he can convince a judge to allow him to play after the CIF informed him in a letter this week that he remains ineligible.

Taylor, a junior who transferred from View Park, was given approval to play by a state appeals panel. However, City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege said new information resulted in the CIF overturning the appeals panel after Taylor played in seven games, and he’s now facing a possible two years of athletic ineligibility.
