Girls’ basketball: Rialto takes early 14-8 lead

Rialto is showing why it’s the No. 1 seed in the Southern Section Division 2AA playoffs.

The Knights are on top of Ventura Buena 14-8 after one quarter of the championship game at the Anaheim Convention Center. After two ties and two lead changes, Rialto took command in the last four minutes.

Janae’ Sharpe has four points and two assists and Summer Webb has three points for Rialto. Keani Albanez leads all scorers with five points for the second-seeded Bulldogs.
