Birmingham has three outs left in the City Section Division I semifinal trailing Chatsworth, 2-1.

Kevin Torres goes into the bottom of the sixth inning for Birmingham having allowed only one hit, but his three hit batters to start the fifth opened the door for Chatsworth to push across two runs. He needs to shut down the Chancellors in the sixth to give his team a chance in the seventh. The top of the order is due up.

Update: An error on a pop fly in front of home plate opened the way for Chatsworth to score two more runs and take a 4-1 lead going into the top of the seventh. Chris Carlin had a pinch-hit RBI single. Kiefer Kofman had an RBI single.
