Baseball: David Lira keeps getting out of trouble

El Camino Real has put runners on base in four of five innings, but San Fernando pitcher David Lira loves challenges and so far, he leads, 1-0, and hasn’t given up a hit in the City Section Division I semifinal.
Lira has struck out six, walked four and hit a batter. He struck out Jose Cardona with runners on first and second in the fifth.
San Fernando had runners at second and third with two outs in the fifth after a second ECR error but Cardona struck out William Vazquez to get out of the inning.
