Baseball: Esperanza takes 1-0 lead

The speed of leadoff batter Nick Catalano has helped Esperanza take a 1-0 lead over Riverside North after the first inning of the Division 1 final at Dodger Stadium.

After Catalano walked, Ryan Cooper hit a double, and Catalano scored from first after center fielder Steven Pena was given an error bobbling the ball.

Evan Perez came back to strike out the side for North. Austin Pettibone has struck out three for Esperanza with one out in the second.
