Baseball: L.A. Wilson wins City Section Division II title

Saturday was a day of triumph at Dodger Stadium for L.A. Wilson and junior pitcher Andrew Urbina.

The Mules defeated North Hollywood, 2-0, behind Urbina, who threw a two-hitter. Angel Araujo had an RBI single and added a triple, later scoring. North Hollywood’s Eddie Torres pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing three hits. The game took one hour, 22 minutes.

But the day belonged to Urbina, a three-sport standout who lost a brother to a rare brain disease three years ago.

He pitched with confidence, striking out three and walking none.
