St. John Bosco quarterback Rene Medina averted disaster on back-to-back plays, then found Charles Redd in the end zone for a six-yard touchdown pass to shave Servite’s lead to 14-7 midway through the second quarter.

On first and goal, Medina gained a yard on a busted play. On second and goal, Medina picked up a fumble on a botched handoff and ran for another yard. Then he found Redd near the back of the end zone for the score.
