Football: Troy Williams counters with TD run to give Narbonne lead

It figured that a matchup of teams whose last four games included a tie, a triple-overtime thriller and were decided by a total of eight points would turn into another classic.

Narbonne quarterback Troy Williams’ eight-yard touchdown run has given the Gauchos a 28-21 lead over San Pedro late in the third quarter of a back-and-forth Marine League showdown.

Narbonne has a pair of 100-yard rushers in Williams, who has 117 yards in eight carries, and Tray Boone, who has 104 yards in 14 carries.
