Loyola will need to find a way to corral Huntington Beach quarterback Michael Chislock if it wants to survive another week in the Pac-5 Division playoffs.

Chislock scored on a three-yard scramble to give Huntington Beach a 10-7 lead with 10:56 left in the second quarter. Chislock’s TD came at the end of a 14-play drive, 98-yard drive that looked liked it would go nowhere after the Oilers committed three consecutive penalties on their first down of the possession.

However, a 27-yard completion from Chislock to Nolan Biegel coupled with a 13-yard run by Chislock helped the Oilers make up ground quickly.

Huntington Beach also converted on fourth down and five on a seven-yard run by Chislock. The Oilers are 2-for-2 on fourth-down conversions thanks to some gutsy playcalling by Coach Eric Lo.

Loyola went three and out on its ensuing possession and Huntington Beach, which is undefeated on the road this season, took over the ball on its own 48.
