Huntington Beach is showing why it has been one of the most underrated teams in Southern California this year.

Oilers quarterback Michael Chislock connected on a 31-yard touchdown pass to Austin Simpkins on fourth down and five to give Huntington Beach a 24-14 lead with :59 seconds remaining in the third quarter. It was Simpkins’ eighth touchdown of the season.

Huntington Beach has converted on five of seven attempts on fourth down tonight and have dominated time of possession.

Loyola has gone three and out on its last two possessions. The Cubs need to find the end zone quick going if they want to make something of their first postseason appearance since 2008.
