Football: Oaks Christian leads St. Bonaventure, 27-17

Chris Davis connected on a 37-yard pass to receiver Jordan Payton to set up a one-yard run by quarterback Brandon Dawkins as Oaks Christian jumped out 27-17 lead with a little more than six minutes left in the third quarter.

Davis made the pass after getting the handoff from Dawkins. St. Bonaventure’s Bobby Marquez deflected the pass, but Payton managed to grab it on the rebound to put the Lions on the Seraphs’ 1-yard line.

Oaks Christian’s Carlos Mendoza scored on a two-yard run minutes early to give Oaks Christian the lead.

The Lions have scored three unanswered touchdowns.
