With a 15-2-1 record and nine City Section championships, Chatsworth was expected to be ready for its showdown against six-time City champ El Camino Real on Wednesday in a West Valley League game. But the Chancellors played poorly, committing three errors and giving up four runs in the first inning and were beaten, 7-5.

Luke Laurita, a junior who threw six consecutive balls to start the game and faced a bases loaded, none-out situation in the second, hung tough and got through six innings to pick up the victory. Justin Russell got the save.
