Golf: Pat Blay, Stephen Lopez lead Loyola to first-place finish

At the Central Divisional team championship on Monday at Lakewood Golf Course, Pat Blay and Stephen Lopez each shot 73 to help Los Angeles Loyola finish in first place. Mira Costa was second and Redondo third. All three teams advance to the Southern Section team finals on Thursday at Rancho San Marcos Golf Course.

Long Beach Wilson won the Southern Regional at Tijeras Creek Golf Course. Los Alamitos was second and Huntington Beach third.

In the Western Regional at Sierra La Verne Country Club, Diamond Bar, Mater Dei and Santa Margarita advanced. Santa Margarita’s Beau Hossler shot a 67.

In the Eastern Regional at Jurupa Hills Country Club, Great Oak, Riverside Poly and Palm Desert moved on.

In the Norothern Regional at Soule Golf Course, Westlake, Oaks Christian and Moorpark took the first three spots.
