Baseball: Boras Classic has intriguing opening matchups

There are playoff-like opening matchups for the Boras Classic that begins April 2 in Orange County.

El Toro, expected to have one of the best pitching staffs in Southern California, will face another pitching-rich opponent, West Hills Chaminade.

JSerra, the host school in the tournament, will play defending City Section Division I champion Woodland Hills El Camino Real.

Other openers: West Ranch vs. Bishop Amat, Oaks Christian vs. Vista Murrieta, Anaheim Canyon vs. Lakewood, Great Oak vs. Loyola, Chatsworth vs. Corona Santiago, Hart vs. Mater Dei.
