Cerritos
A new pedestrian bridge over the San Gabriel River Channel on Artesia Boulevard has been completed, Cerritos officials said. The project, which cost $134,150, should make it easier for pedestrians, including those in wheelchairs or pushing strollers, to cross the channel.
Cerritos City Councilman Alex Beanum said the overpass, which is about five feet wide, should be a “major asset for students” who walk to Valley Christian and Gahr high schools using Artesia Boulevard.
The City of Cerritos supervised the overpass construction, which was funded by Cerritos, Bellflower and the county.
