This Bandit Takes the Cake
A man held up a fast-food restaurant Thursday morning and by so doing earned a nickname from the Huntington Beach police: the Brownie Bandit.
Police said a man in his late 30s entered the Bob’s Big Boy restaurant on Adams Avenue near Brookhurst Street about 10:15 a.m. and ordered a sack of brownies. Then, covering his face with a handkerchief, he pulled a handgun on the waitress and also demanded money.
The man escaped with the brownies and about $100, police said.
