Mark Hall, Heidi Moore to Head Architects’ Groups

Architect Mark Hall will be installed Saturday as president of the Los Angeles chapter, American Institute of Architects, and Heidi Moore will take office at the same time as president of the Women’s Architectural League.

Hall is co-founder and principal of Archiplan, a Los Angeles-based planning and architectural firm. Moore’s husband, Samuel, is an architect with the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Other new officers of Hall’s chapter are: Donald C. Axon, vice president/president-elect; Robert S. Harris, treasurer; Barton Phelps, Robert A. Reed, Norma M. Sklarek and Chester A. Widom, directors, and Ronald A. Altoon, Robert Kennard and Widom, delegates to the California Council, AIA.

William Landworth, secretary, and Richard Appel and Richard Ciceri, directors, will be completing the second year of their terms of office.

The chapter’s immediate past president, Martin Gelber, and Joe Jordan, 1985 president of the San Fernando Valley section, will serve as chapter directors next year.

Other new officers of Moore’s group are: Juanita Gulbrand, corresponding secretary; Rosemary Houha, recording secretary; Linda Hege, treasurer, and Martha Bowerman, parliamentarian. New Directors include Ruth Bown and Kay Tyler.

Installation ceremonies will be held at a 7 p.m. dinner at the Embassy Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
