Collections of shotguns, rifles and handguns were stolen from two San Diego-area houses over the weekend in what police believe were related burglaries. San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said that sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, 27 firearms were taken from various rooms in an Apache Street house. No one was home at the time. That same day, Robinson said, someone entered a Park Rim Court house through a rear window between 2 p.m. and midnight, took clothes out of a hall closet and removed two shotguns, two rifles and two handguns from a hidden storage area. No one was home there either, Robinson said. He said all of the guns were legal. The burglaries appeared to be related, he said. No estimate of the value of the weapons was reported.
