White (10 of 11) Has Hot Hand as Waves Roll Over Cold-Shooting Colorado, 90-64

Pepperdine’s Eric White scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds Tuesday night, and the Waves rolled to a 90-64 win over cold-shooting Colorado before 2,444 fans at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu.

The win gave Pepperdine Coach Jim Harrick his 100th victory (100-58) in his six years at the school and raised the Waves’ record to 10-6. Colorado fell to 6-6.

White hit 10 of 11 field goals for his game-high total, and Dwayne Polee added 17 points for the Waves. Alex Stivrins scored a team-high 19 points for Colorado.

The temperature in Boulder was 25 degrees when Colorado left, and the Buffaloes brought their cold hands with them.

In the first half, they hit only 40% of their field goal attempts (10 for 25) but finished at 27 for 52 (52%). Free throwing they were just 27% (4 for 15) in the first half and 10 for 25 (40%) for the game.

Pepperdine made 60% of its shots (37 for 62) and was 16 for 26 (62%) from the line.
