R. J. Reynolds Industries Inc. named Charles J. Chapman president and chief operating officer of Del Monte Corp., its food and beverage unit. He succeeds Robert A. Fox, who will become chairman and continue as its chief executive. Chapman had been group vice president and a director of Cheseborough-Ponds Inc.
