Cyclist Dies in Parking Lot Collision
A Fullerton man died Wednesday morning after his motorcycle struck a car broadside in the parking lot of Hughes Aircraft Co. in Fullerton, police said.
The victim was identified as Michael Kevin Cooper, 30.
Police traffic investigator Don Pearce said that several employees who witnessed the 7:45 a.m. collision told officers that the motorcyclist was traveling in excess of 40 m.p.h. through the large lot when he slammed into the car as it made a left turn.
Cooper was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton.
