Astronomers Make Model of New Star
Astronomers from four countries, including the United States and the Soviet Union, have created a model of a star that will help explain how planets are formed, Tass said Thursday.
“Radio astronomers of the Soviet Union, West Germany, Sweden and the United States have managed to create a model of one of the emerging stars in the Great Orion Nebula,” Leonid Matvienko, head of the Soviet radio astronomy team, told the official news agency.
Tass said scientists set up a network of radiotelescopes around the world to observe an emerging star in the nebula.
