Share

The use of windmills to produce electricity will be discussed from two viewpoints, those of the energy investor/developer and of the electric utility, Jan. 24 at the year’s first meeting of the Southern California Solar Energy Society in the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Auditorium, 111 N. Hope St., beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Jay Stock, research engineer, Wind Energy Department, Southern California Edison Co., will discuss the current wind-generation projects at the company’s San Gorgonio test site and the utility’s experiences in purchasing such power. Andy Zaley, chief of wind-power projects, American Diversified Tech Division, Costa Mesa, will speak on third-party financing of solar projects. Admission and parking are free for those identifying themselves as going to the “solar meeting.”
