Moe Likes It Simple

DENVER —
Doug Moe, the coach of the Denver Nuggets, believes in simplicity on the basketball court.
“Anybody can make up a play,” he said. “You just sit down with a piece of paper, play around with a diagram and when you finish, it looks terrific. You think nobody will stop it. But you actually run it and score once while fouling up 40,000 times. The simplest plays are best. If you have a great scorer all you have to do is to get him open.”
