Knox Reportedly Gets Offer From the Lions
Seattle Seahawks Coach Chuck Knox received an offer through a third party to coach in Detroit and become part-owner of the Lions, a newspaper reported Sunday.
On Saturday, the Tacoma News Tribune reported Knox indirectly was offered $700,000 a year and an equity position of 2 percent to 5 percent ownership, plus a first-round draft choice for the Seahawks as compensation.
Based on an interview in San Francisco, the Tacoma newspaper quoted Knox as saying Friday, “I really don’t have plans to go anywhere.”
