Kidney Trouble May Be Causing Deaver Illness

WASHINGTON —
Presidential aide Michael K. Deaver, suffering from a possible kidney malfunction, was “feeling better” Thursday at Georgetown Hospital, where he was undergoing tests, White House spokesman Larry Speakes said.
Speakes said the President and Mrs. Reagan sent flowers to Deaver, deputy chief of staff. Deaver, 46, was hospitalized Sunday after attending Reagan’s private swearing-in at the White House.
