Harbour Pointe, Westfield Development Co.’s new condominium community near the ocean in Huntington Beach, reflects a total environment in a gate-guarded setting with private recreation.

Located at 4876 Tiara Drive, the first phase of the project opens this weekend with 36 homes that are part of a 4.5-acre enclave of 82 homes styled in a Mediterranean architectural motif with arches, tiled roofs and fountains.

The units, priced from $89,900 to $133,000, offer four floor plans with about 712 to 1,130 square feet of interior living space and a choice of one bedroom, one-plus-den or two-bedroom arrangements and up to two full baths.

Features include private entry courts or decks, fireplaces, separate dining areas, high ceilings and skylights in some models, ceramic tile or parquet entry flooring, some baths with Roman-style tubs and double vanities in master baths.

A homeowners association fee for maintenance of the gate-guarded system, private streets, landscaping, recreation facilities and building exteriors is estimated at about $90 a month.

Harbour Pointe offers a variety of terms and a down payment as low as 5%. Qualified first-time buyers may take advantage of a special bond financing program that features 30-year loans at a fixed rate of 11.45% (11.95% annual rate).

The on-site sales office, staffed by Goodman/Hixson & Co., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Wednesdays and Thursdays.
