Local News in Brief : Caltrans Plans Freeway Closures for Repairs

Caltrans will close sections of the San Diego Freeway in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday and Thursday nights to repair the pavement.
The connector road between the northbound San Diego Freeway and the Ventura Freeway will be closed between midnight Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, a Department of Transportation spokeswoman said. Traffic will be rerouted onto Sepulveda Boulevard, she said.
From midnight Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday, the northbound San Diego Freeway will be closed between Mulholland Drive and the Ventura Freeway. Traffic will be rerouted onto Sepulveda Boulevard.
The detours are needed to carry out a continuing program to improve the freeway surface, she said. The same work prompted closure of the northbound San Diego Freeway between Mulholland and the Ventura Freeway last Wednesday and Thursday nights, she said.
