An antibody that inactivates the AIDS virus in laboratory experiments has been identified by scientists and could lead to development of a vaccine, a National Cancer Institute researcher said during a Newport Beach scientific conference. Dr. Robert Gallo told reporters he hopes a vaccine will result, but he could not say for certain that it will be--or when.
