Great Adventure Inc. and Six Flags Corp. must stand trial on aggravated manslaughter charges in connection with a fire last year at an amusement park in Toms River, N.J., that killed eight teen-agers, a judge ruled. Superior Court Judge Arthur Blake denied the companies’ entry into a pretrial intervention program that allows some first-time offenders to avoid trial and perform community service. The judge also said the firms showed no remorse over the fire May 11 in the Haunted Castle attraction.
