FLUOR CHAIRMAN REELECTED AS HEAD OF ARTS COMMITTEE

David Tappan Jr., chairman of Irvine-based Fluor Corp., has been reelected chairman of the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts, a corporate liaison and informational organization.

Other reelected officers are three vice chairmen: Thomas Nielsen, president, Irvine Co.; Henry Segerstrom, managing partner, C. J. Segerstrom & Sons, and Philip Reilly, president, Mission Viejo Co.

Harry Bubb, president of Pacific Mutual has been elected to the fourth vice chairman’s post. Other newly elected officers are treasurer C. Stephen Mansfield, partner-in-charge, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, and Theodore Fuller, senior vice president, Johnson & Higgins.

In addition to Mansfield, the newly joined members of the board of directors are Alexander Bowie, partner, Bowie & Risley; David Carroll, area manager, Pacific Bell; Clyde Gossert, president, Commercebank; Gerard Kenney, partner, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, and Carl McLarand, president, Carl McLarand Associates.

UC Irvine Chancellor Jack Peltason is a new advisory member of the board.
