Malibu
The Santa Monica-Malibu School Board will vote on whether to close Juan Cabrillo Elementary School at its meeting Feb. 12. Because of declining enrollment, the board has been studying a proposal to close the school and relocate the students to Malibu Park Junior High School, adjacent to the Cabrillo campus. The closure is opposed by many Cabrillo parents and the Malibu Township Council.
