Japanese Woman Wins Malaysian Open Golf

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia —
Kayoko Ikoma of Japan fired a 2-under-par 70 Sunday and won the $3,442 first prize of the Malaysian Women’s Open Golf Championship by three strokes.
Kim Shipman of the United States shot a 71 Sunday and finished second with 218. Huang Yueh-chyn of Taiwan was third at 221 after shooting a final-round 73. American Julie Cole finished fourth at 224. She had a 74 Sunday.
